30 HOUR FAMINE

Surprise, Brandon!!!

We celebrated the end of a tough year for Brandon with family and friends at HIS ROCK! Super cool place to hang out. It was our "Mystery Activity" before the 30 Hr Famine began. We sang, ate and danced until about 10pm and then headed to the Johnson and Eichhorst homes for the night...

SLEEP OVER...then the tough part began for us all.

The GUYS HARD AT WORK AT HOPE, MRS. Gottschling's, and the Dundas home.

Cards for the shut-ins and missionaries...

OUR GUY CHEFS!

AND GIRL CHEFS...

They were awesome -they even cut chicken without gloves! The girls and 3 guys made chicken pot pies, corn bread, salads and cookies for three seniors and their families while fasting. That was tough -especially when we were baking them. Aw man...

CHICKEN POT PIES...

Paper people...

More Paper People...

Little People Chain - Each paper person represented ten little children who die of hunger related problems each day. We carried it through the congregation that Sunday to make our case for the HUNGRY. It helped us raise about $250 more for the cause!

The end of the famine -
THE GRAND FINALE!!! PANCAKE BREAKFAST MADE BY PASTOR GEORGE, MICHELLE AND THE SCHIENKES!!! THANK YOU parents for all the yummy food this day and all our days. WE ARE BLESSED!
Honestly, we are so blessed -here are your thoughts about the whole ordeal...
